grazie di avermi messo a moderare questa sezione 0:16 // in effetti io negli anni di latitanza dalla fibrosi cistica ho fatto la diabetologa 0:21 // e mi sono riportata indietro sicuramente una maggior confidenza con l'insulina 0:28 // anzi quasi un innamoramento per l'insulina 0:31 per cui io farei l'insulina a tutti 0:32 //

di fatto noi stiamo cercando di mettere su uno studio in Italia in cui vogliamo valutare la efficacia dell'insulina negli stadi molto precoci del del diabete 0:44 //

quindi da un lato appunto questa maggiore confidenza con l'insulina 0:48 // dall'altro comunque l'idea che l'argomento diabete nell'ambito di fibrosi cistica debba essere trattato 0:56 // è importante e certamente ha la capacità di influire sulla prognosi del e sulla qualità della vita dei pazienti 1:4 //

allora quale relatrice migliore della dottoressa Moran che è la responsabile della sezione di endocrinologia dell'Università del del Minnesota 1:16 //

che è responsabile di molti progetti nazionali e internazionali sul l'utilizzo e sull'eziopatogenesi del diabete in fibrosi cistica 1:29 //

la dottoressa Moran di fatto insieme a pochi altri ha costruito e sta costruendo la storia del diabete in fibrosi cistica 1:37 //

quindi è una vera personalità in questa in questo ambito 1:40 //

well good morning everybody and thank you professor Mastella and the Foundation for organizing this meeting 0:7 // and I'm sure that this will be a very stimulating meeting for everyone and there will be a lot of discussion 0:14 //

thank you for giving me the honour of chairing this session 0:19 and I would like to say that it's interesting it will focus on diabetes 0:27 //



and here we are trying to set up an Italian study so that we can assess the efficacy of insulin in very early stages of diabetes 0:45 //

so we can say that the subject diabetes within cystic fibrosis is a subject that has to be addressed and fully appreciated because it can have a considerable effect on the prognosis for the patients concerned 1:5 //


so now we will be hearing from doctor Antoinette Moran who is in charge of the division of pediagri- pediatric endocrinology in the University of Minnesota 1:19 //

she is responsible for many projects on diabetes in cystic fibrosis 1:30 //


doctor Moran has set up the history of diabetes in cystic fibrosis 1:39 // something she is still researching on 1:41 //

and she is a leading researcher in this sector 1:43 //

and so this is an important subject 1:50 //
