vi porto il saluto del consiglio direttivo della Società italiana per lo studio della fibrosi cistica 0:17 //
io sono contento di essere qui per due ragioni 0:23 //
la prima è che questo è un incontro importante //
è un incontro scientifico di alto livello che la Fondazione ha voluto
proporre e ripropone annualmente con il duplice intento di farne un
momento di divulgazione scientifica per i familiari e per i pazienti ma
anche per gli operatori sanitari 0:54 //
e io penso sia utile sottolineare quanto l'impegno anche in questa direzione sia molto importante 1:3 //
e credo che sia un'esigenza e una necessità anche per la comunità dei malati e dei genitori e di quanti sono vicini ai malati 1:15 //
ma è un incontro scientifico di alto livello sempre perché l'intento
della Fondazione è quello di collegarsi e rapportarsi con centri di
ricerca centri clinici all'avanguardia in Europa e nel mondo 1:36 //
quindi secondo me questa è una è una direzione rilevante che segna un
po' la storia che vuol portare l'Italia a confrontarsi sempre di più e
sempre meglio con le altre realtà internazionali 1:57 //
ma sono anche contento perché questo è il decennale delle attività della Fondazione //
e mi complimento con la Fondazione e con quanto ha fatto che segna un punto di riferimento nella comunità italiana 2:15 //
è una realtà che è cresciuta e che oggi è di riferimento per gli operatori che lavorano sul campo 2:24 //
per i ricercatori che hanno trovato un punto di riferimento importante
di ascolto ma anche di sostegno di appoggio di idee di confronto 2:39 //
e come dicevo prima un punto di riferimento per i malati e i loro pazienti 2:50 //
il mio il nostro auspicio è che questa realtà si irrob- irrobustisca e
diventa sempre più forte e diventi sempre più importante 3:1 //
ma seguendo questa traccia che secondo me è abbastanza chiara e che si
segnala abbastanza bene con delle radici ma anche con un con una
prospettiva nel futuro 3:15 //
la Società italiana fibrosi cistica si è sempre considerata e si
considera e si considererà un partner della Fondazione italiana per la
fibrosi cistica 3:26 // e qui io vorrei ricordare almeno due aspetti // uno è l'integrazione e la collaborazione nella formazione 3:34 //
ricordo ancora tre o quattro anni fa il primo percorso formativo per
gli operatori sanitari sulla ricerca da cui è nato una riflessione
un'analisi della letteratura sul controllo delle infezioni 3:55 //
un documento corposo che ha visto il lavoro di tanti operatori ben supportato dalla Fondazione e dal e dagli esperti 4:7 //
ricordo anche in particolare il lavoro del dottor Buzzetti 4:13 //
e questo lavoro questo lavoro poi è stato portato avanti da un gruppo
di lavoro della Società italiana fibrosi cistica che ha con- lo ha
consolidato e che ha scritto le raccomandazioni per il controllo delle
infezioni 4:28 //
e questo è stato un esempio insomma importante di integrazione e di e di intenti comuni //
il secondo è quello che è in corso 4:39
// voi sapete c'è quest'altro percorso formativo che si è sviluppato
durante tutto il duemilasei intorno al registro di patologia 4:48 //
Fondazione e Società scientifica credono che il registro sia un
elemento centrale e fon- fondante della comunità e questo contributo di
formazione è un contributo anche di rilancio domani per il fu- per il
futuro del registro // che come sapete è in una fase di ripensamento ma
anche di rilancio della sua attività 5:12 //
ma infine c'è un altro ambito secondo me che vede gli intenti della
società e della fondazione uniti che è quello della promozione della
ricerca e in particolare della ricerca clinica 5:32 //
in Italia si fa ricerca clinica 5:35 //
ci sono gruppi che lavorano anche attivamente 5:38 //
credo
che sia importante anche fare il passo successivo // aggregare più
forze // migliorare la qualità dei prodotti // lavorare con delle sulla
base di priorità e di prodotti che siano importanti per la comunità 5:53 //
e io mi attendo mi auguro è il mio anche auspicio che su questo si possa lavorare al meglio nei prossimi anni //

I'd like to thank professor Mastella and doctor Faganelli for inviting me 0:10 //
I'd also welcome you on behalf of the general board of the Italian Society for Cystic Fibrosis 0:19 //
I'm very pleased to be here for a number reasons 0:24 //
first of all I think this is an important meeting 0:32 //
it is a high-level scientific meeting 0:34
// it was organised by the Foundation and the Foundation has been
committing itself to propose such seminar every year as a moment for
dissemination of information not just for families and patients but
also for healthcare workers 0:56 //
I think it is useful to emphasise the efforts that are made for this 1:6 //
it is a need also for the community of patients and their families 1:14 //
as I said it's a high-level scientific meeting because the idea of the
Foundation is always to link to establish relationships with research
centres with clinical centres which are at the forefront in Europe and
in the world 1:37 //
for this reason I think that this view is quite critical in a way to
direct our actions and the history in Italy as a way of comparison with
other experiences in the rest of the world 2:1 //
and I'm pleased because it is the tenth anniversary of the Foundation //
and I would I would like to congratulate the Foundation for what they have been doing 2:13 //
as it's become a reference point for the whole country 2:18 //
the Foundation is a reference point for experts in this field for
researchers as they could find a meeting point a reference point in
which they could be listened to 2:34 // and also they found some support some opportunities to exchange ideas 2:42 //
and it's also become a reference point for patients CF CF patients 2:50 //
so we hope that this Foundation and this whole reality will be strengthened in the future 3:3 //
and we want to continue to follow the practices that we have been establishing in the last few years 3:10 // it's got strong roots but also a strong future direction 3:17 //
the Italian Society for Cystic Fibrosis has always considered itself
and will always consider itself a partner of the Cystic Fibrosis
Foundation and I'd like to refer to integration and collaboration in
training in this respect 3:35 //
for example three four years ago I remember the first training course
was organised for healthcarer in Italy in cystic fibrosis 3:51 // and that was the result of extensive reading of the literature in infection control 3:58 //
the result was also the production of a document which was which saw the collaboration of many people 4:5 // we had experts and carers 4:10 //
in particular I remember the work by doctor Buzzetti 4:15 //
and this activity then was continued by other groups in cystic fibrosis and they consolidated it and they went forward 4:31 //
so this is a really good example of integration and of common intentions and cooperation 4:39 //
we also have another training programme which was developed in two
thousand and six concerning pathology Registry as we think that the
register is a central element for our community 4:60 //
so this training contribution is also important to go on with our
activities in the future as the register is being restructured and
reformed 5:14 //
and finally there's another area of collaboration between socie- the
Society and the Foundation that is promotion of research in particular
of clinical research 5:33 //
in Italy clinical research is being carried out 5:36 //
there are active groups 5:38 //
and I think it's important to go on to join our forces and improve the
quality of the results and working on the basis of priorities and
products that are relevant to the community 5:54 //
so I really hope that this is the basis on which we will be able to work much better in the next few years 6:5 //
